The Protocol
Do Have: Sea Salt in generous amounts according to taste,This alkalizes the body, promotes good thyroid function, and helps hydrate the body. grated carrot mixed with salt, coconut oil, and raw apple cider vinegar first thing in the morning and any other time desired. This promotes peristalsis in the intestines promoting good bowel function, as well as absorbes toxins in the bowel so they don't get redistributed. First thing in the morning is best. Eat as much as you like but 1 cup is a good amount to aim for. Coffee according to taste and early in day so not to hurt sleep. Use organic milk or cream. This promotes the body's ability to use thyroid (t3), has lots of magnesium and Vit. B12 and other vits and minerals, and increases circulation to the brain. It also detoxes some heavy metals like cadmium, and purifies the water it is made in. If you aren't used to this, start with a small amount like 2 ozs. and increase gradualy as the desire arises. Your body will gradually be able to absorbe the coffee without causing rapid heartbeat. If symptoms of rapid heartbeat occure, simply drink salted orangejuice and it should subside within 20 minutes.See www.raypeat.com for a detailed scientific explanation of how coffee effects metabolism and why it has been misunderstood for so long. Fruits and fruit juices especially combined with sea salt and fat like heavy cream, keiffer, butter, and coconut oil. Especially combine these when eating meat. Geletin Powder mixed in drinks or foods. Great Lakes Geletin is the best. Or Oxtail Soup or Gelintionous broth from bones. Always have some when eating meat. Grated coconut. My smoothy recipe is: 1 cup coconut water or orange juice 1 tsp. salt or to taste 1 cup fresh or frozen berries of choice Blend in blender on high for about a minute. Add fresh raw keiffer or yogert and mix more. Enjoy!
Rare or Raw Red Meat Seared lightly in coconut oil and salted generously--4 oz. 2-3x daily. Other meats are fine too as long as they are truly organic. Grass fed and free range is of course the ultimate. Liver is especially healing. Try to find some grass fed beef liver and eat a small amount once a week if possible.Order 100% grassfed, grassfinished bison raised on prarie grasses. My favorite is mail orderd from www.northstarbison.com Eggs in generous amounts according to taste. Raw is best in smoothies. Some people can't eat the whites so just eat the yokes is needed. Cook the whites but not the yolks when possible. Use only free range eggs. Chickens are fed soy and that makes it's way into the eggs. See if there is a farmers market in your area. Raw Cheese, the older the better Sour dough bread (French Meadow brand ALL Rye is best) Salads and vegies cooked in coconut oil. The only fats: butter, cream, coconut oil, olive oil, animal fat. Use liberally with every meal and snacks. No seed oils or fish oil. Eat small meals at regular intervals. Eat a small snack before bed. If you wake up hungry, eat then too. It reduces adrenal, raises blood sugar, and helps the thyroid. Coconut water or orange juice with salt should be consumed instead of plain water when possible.
Note: Raw Milk is good, but Cow's Milk may not work for all people. Many people get congested and tired from cow's milk. Supplements: This is a general guideline an could be tailored for each individual. This is for adults. Children's would be somewhat different. Kombucha tea 2-4 cups per day sipped throuout the day. EM's (Effective Microorganisms™) is an antioxidant, probiotic beverage that can be consumed with each meal to aid digestion and sipped in between meals. Can be combined with kombucha or fruit juice. EM's is an acronym for Effective Microorganisms¨. It is a brand name referring to a line of microbial-based products using a technology developed by Japanese scientist Dr. Teruo Higa. EM-1™is a liquid bacterial product made of three groups of bacteria: Yeast, Photosythetic Bacteria, and Lactic Acid Bacteria. Thyroid Glandular according to the amount your body needs. Monitor pulse and temp. (resting) to determine dosage. Some people need to merely lick a pill to get enough without creating racing heart then gradually lick it more until working your way up to 1/4 of a pill. Then take that 4x /day until working your way up incrementally to taking 2 pills 3x/day which is the max dosage. Progesterone (for women--men make their own out of pregnenolene) Pregnenolene for women and men. However, I have found that when consuming enough raw coconut and animal fat my body makes all it needs. This seems to work for others I have counseled as well, but most of us need to consume the fat with either fruit, fruit juice, or lemon juice because of poor digestion from enzyme deficiency. Colustrum Powder. This is extremely healing, as well as quite expensive. I have found that with raw dairy, I don't seem to need this.But it travels well and is great when I can't get access to high quality raw dairy. Also, if raw dairy isn't available, try to find grass fed, non-homogenized milk. Then turn that into keiffer or add EM's which will bring back the missing enzymes. Magnesium citrate (get the powder in the bulk section) Use 1/2 tsp 4x/day between meals tsp. or more adding to liquid to drink throughout day and night. Magnesium Chloride (Nagari) rubbed on skin daily or use in a bath but not with flouridated, chlorinated water. There is no filter on the market that takes the flouride out of tap water. Flouride is extremely toxic and is absobed through skin in large amounts. Bathing in flouridated water is counter productive. Instead, quick showers are best. Also, rub the skin with a small amount of EMs when finished to help with healthy skin, odor and counteract the chemicals in the water. Do not use soap, it takes the oil off the skin and vit. loss results. It also clogs the poors. Use Baking Soda and Vinigar instead of soap for both shampoo and body soap. coconut oil/zinc oxide rubbed on skin daily following mag. chloride (one cup coconut oil to 1 tsp. zinc oxide) This works great as a sunscreen as well as general immune booster and enzyme activator. This should only be done for a limited time. The diet will restore zinc levels on it's own eventually. But some people will benefit from an extra boost in the beginning. This boosts the immune system, helps the skin, heals wounds, repairs scare tissue, etc. E
Avoid: All PUFA's (polyunsaturated fats) which come in the form of nuts and seeds and their oils, as well as fish oil, Omega supplements like borage oil, etc.
All soy products and supplements.
Anything with spirulina, cilantro, coriander, blue green algae, Alpha Lapoic Acid, NAC, and a few other things. (This redistributes mercury)
Iodine supplements such as Idoral, Lugol's Solution (Thyroid suppressants). You will get plenty of iodine in the diet. Too much is just as bad as too little. See the works of Dr. Broda Barns for the research.
Thyroid suppressing vegies like: cabbage, broccoli, mustard greens, kale, radishes. (However, these are fine when cooked.)
Green veggie juice or supplements such as green powders.
All protein powder drinks.
Any estrogen supplement or drug.
Table salt.
Long term exposure to synthetic bedding, paints, carpeting household cleaners. Be very careful when buying new clothes. Many of them are made with harmful chemicals embedded in the fabric.
Women don't wear bras! Read Dressed to Kill to find out Why. Synthetic clothing blocks the electrical pathways of the body or Wei Chi. Put nothing on the body you wouldn't eat. Really you shouldn't put anything in the air you wouldn't eat as well.This goes with paints and finishes and bedding that offgass, household cleansers, bug sprays, moth balls, and just about anything you buy at a conventional store.Antibacterial soaps have mercury, air "fresheners" have pesticide derivitives. Body Friendly Furniture
I have been playing around with unusual work stations to accomodate good posture, movement, and nearsightedness while I work on computer, read, and write. I have been able to work completely without prescription lenses for the past seven years as long as my face is close enough to the screen and I am wearing pinhole glasses (from Clear Vision Hawaii).
It was tricky getting the screen at eye level and the keyboard lower so arms and hands aren't raised too high.
My 20/40 prescription is OD -3, OS -4 (not sure what that translates into the 20/20 reading). I've had that same prescription for about seven years. I have thought at times my sight was improving but when I get tested I barely pass so I'm not sure what's going on there. Maybe improving in some ways that doesn't show up on the tests? Maybe is improving but when wearing lenses it screws something up?
Anyway, my main point of this post is I have something to offer others to help them spend more time without glasses. These devices I call "Body Friendly Furniture" work with the alignment of the whole body, provide active sitting and standing which aids in brain coherence, and puts the face closer to the screen without the adverse effects of leaning forward which was the main problem I noticed with the standard desk and chair combination.
I believe the Bates Method goes hand in hand with the Alexander Technique, increasing circulation t the brain and eyes and optimizing the entire use of the body. The furniture I have designed is based on these principles.
Kombucha Healing Salve Beauty Cream
Put in blender and puree the following ingredients: kombucha mushroom (SCOBY) cut into small pieces. About two cups worth is good. Kombucha tea: enough to make all the ingredients wet enough to blend smoothly. Probably one cup is good. two inch or so piece of organic ginger root juiced: Simply hand crate the ginger root and place in hands and squeeze juice out. 1 TBSP liquid Nagari (Magnesium Chloride) You can order magnesium chloride from Natural Import Company 828-277-8870. Ask for crystal Nagari. I get the 45 lb. bag for something like $60. You can get two pounds as well. 1/2 cup raw heavy whipping cream (if raw isn't available, pasturized will work, but it needs to be very thick). If not available you can try coconut oil but hard to get consistency smooth. Or you can use olive oil. Or eliminate oil all together and the cream will still work.
Mix all ingredients and keep in fridge in a jar. Dip your hand in jar and swath all over body once or twice a day. It will feed vital healing nutrients through the skin, transdermally. It relieves all kinds of things like arthritis, makes the skin soft, gets rid of wrinkles and skin blemishes, tightens the pores, opens up the skin to remove toxins more effectively, and relaxes the nerves, feeds bones and muscles, gets lactic acid out of muscles, dissolves calcium deposits, amoung many other things. My skin is better now than when I was in my 30's.
Kombucha Tea: exact recipe for the most effective/medicinal kombucha brew I know to date:
Soak 1 cup green tea and 1/4 c. dried raspberries in 3/4 gallon of water overnight or 8 hours. strain water through fine mesh strainer and compost the remainder of solids.
