Our portable yoga bench comes with multiple-sized legs which allows its use in a variety of positions, including kneeling, cross-legged, and sky.

This meditation seat is environmentally-friendly: Made from a Forest Certified, 100% recycled wood content composite material called Medite II. This is a wood fiber product that uses wood scraps that would otherwise be discarded. A strap made of hemp webbing slips over the knob on each side to hold the bench together. The bench is hand-finished with a non-toxic finish (linseed oil, beeswax, and pine resin) to give it a dark honey sheen.

The Peace Bench™ comes in three sizes with interchangable legs. This allows the bench to be used in positions other than kneeling, such as Burmese (cross-legged), and "sky" (perching).

The leg has a unique feature. The bottom of the leg is curved in the front half and straight in the back. This combines the advantages of both styles. The front half is gently rounded to allow the bench to move with the needs of the sitter, yet the back half is flat, to keep the bench from rocking backwards too far.

The bench is lightweight, made from 1/2 inch material and weighs 4 lbs.

We are commited to bringing planet friendly products to the market. Often these types of materials are harder to locate than standard materials. Making a 'greener' product can also require extra effort due to general lack of knowledge about these innovative materials. We think it's worth the effort, and allows for design advantages that standard wood will not allow.

Our earlier version of the Peace Bench™, though wildly popular, was taken off the market in December of 2004 due to the rising costs of recycled plastic. During the search for a more economical material, we took the opportunity to re-engineer the design so that the current model is more stable.
