Great Tree Zen Women's Temple

Great Tree is the long-time vision of Rev. Teijo Munnich to establish a residential
Soto Zen practice center where women can live and practice. It will offer two
100-day practice periods each year for residents with three sesshins per practice

A gathering of all the Buddhist Sanghas in the area to celebrate the triple
coincidence of Buddha&Mac226;s birth, enlightenment, & passing on the full moon in the
lunar month of „Wesak‰, which for us is in May. A family event with group
meditations, ceremony with lighting of candles & incense, chanting/singing,
dancing, and play of the life of Buddha, and potluck. The celebration aims to be
inclusive of all traditions and participation in planning and enacting is open and

Windhorse Zen Community

WZC offers morning and evening zazen (Zen meditation) as well as residential
training programs. Teachrs Sunya Kjolhede and Lawson Sachter give private
